Do you have questions? Most people do. Let's go over some of the most frequently asked questions by applicants, parents, sponsors, and partners.

What exactly is TruModel?

We are a character growth, early intervention and mentoring program that stimulates women to become role models through the development of of these traits: self-esteem, integrity, love, vision, poise and health. We believe in the potential and virtue of ALL women and what they can achieve with their natural talents. Simply put, TruModel is an 8-week program that helps to build the character and talents of girls and young women at the same time, as opposed to a modeling or acting school where the focus is on the talent alone. We want to prepare students for the world, not just a dream of fame.

Where does TruModel hold it's weekly meetings?

We are currently meeting at SpringHill Suites located at 4835 W Cypress Street in Tampa, Florida.

What days do you hold classes?

We currently run classes on Tuesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 9am.

What are the advantages of TruModel over a modeling or acting school?

Modeling and acting schools focus on a specific talent. For most of the girls and young women that go through their programs, there isn't a steady future in the industry. For those that do have a future in fashion or acting, they will encounter an industry that they are not really prepared for. TruModel focuses on preparing girls and young women for LIFE, with stops along the way to learn the essentials of acting, modeling, beauty, presentation, and etiquette. But, the emphasis of the program is to develop our students into confident women prepared for the world of options that will soon be coming their way.

Does TruModel replace modeling or acting school?

Absolutely not. But, TruModel will help give you an honest glimpse into the modeling and acting world without squeezing thousands of dollars out of your pocket before you even know that you have a future in it. In addition, we work with a local model agent who recruits from our graduates if they genuinely have a future in the talent industry.

Who runs TruModel?

TruModel is a division of Gomez Innovations and founded by Mayra Gomez, a professional model and founder of Model4Jesus. With over 20 years of modeling experience, national TV interviews and appearances, and almost 10 years of ministry experience with girls and young women, she has personally created a curriculum and assembled the resources to help girls and young women transform into who they were meant to be.

Are you a modeling agency?

No. We are not a modeling agency but we have partnered with several modeling and acting agencies that recruit from TruModel alumni.

Are you a modeling school?

We are a character growth, early intervention and mentoring program that teaches about the modeling and acting industry. We don't just concentrate on the outside, we are concerned about your inner talents and how to develop you for life, not just TV and runway.

Do you accept everyone?

We accept anyone who is interested in developing themselves for the better - to make their life more complete. We accept any woman who is looking for direction in her life.

Do you work with kids?

Yes. We have different classes for different ages - 7 to 12 years old, 13 to 17 years old, 18 to 25 years old, and 26+ years old.

Will this interfere with school?

No. We believe the TruModel experience will enhance your life. Making you see everything else you do in a different light. We believe that an academic foundation is very important for the individual and should always be a first priority.

What's the time commitment?

Classes are once a week two and a half to three hours long.

Are you a franchise?

No. We are one of a kind and not a franchise.

Are you associated with any religious groups?

No. We are not associated with any religious entity. However, our underlying moral values are based on Judeo-Christian principles.

What makes TruModel different from any other modeling school?

TruModel is a character growth, early intervention, mentoring program that concentrates on the inner woman, not on the outside appearance. We are interested in helping women become role models in their society and be the best they can be.
